Blues and Beyond submitted by Meginator on July 6, 2020, 4:18pm These primarily upbeat tracks feature electric guitar with a typical rock backing band, though I would classify several of them as swing revival rather than blues or blues-rock. However you define them, the music and vocals are excellent, with an unexpected drum solo in the middle of track 4 particularly standing out and a nice balance of variety and progression from track to track. I expected something rather different from the album title, but I wasn’t at all disappointed with what I got.
