Featuring Sitar submitted by Meginator on August 22, 2020, 10:33pm This album consists of instrumental tracks featuring the sitar and, occasionally, percussive accents. I had a mixed experience with it: I found the first tracks to be a little slow and repetitive, but I enjoyed the later tracks, which are more uptempo and less purely atmospheric. I was really surprised by a section in Track 4 that incorporated rhythmic and melodic elements from Irish dance music (of all things); it was really interesting to hear that pop out of the background, and quite unexpected. Overall, I appreciated the album’s variance in tones, which make it a good introduction to the sitar.
