Soothing Solos submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2020, 6:44pm These acoustic guitar instrumentals lean toward calm and soothing tones, with occasional hints of bluegrass and other musical influences. Two tracks deep into the album have a significantly different overall feel, more upbeat than the rest, but the mellow tracks definitely predominate here and this pair feels a bit out of place in context. Palmer’s skills are on full display, and he is quite talented, but most of the songs failed to capture and/or hold my attention. I found this album to be peaceful and unchallenging, but ultimately sort of uninteresting overall.
