Powerful, personal memoir submitted by timdufresne on July 22, 2019, 8:53am The way Laura Jane Grace writes about transitioning highlights many things that a lot of folks who are transgender experience, the interior experience and external expression, stress and anxiety over such a core piece of their Identity, and the struggle with dysphoria and stigma. However, at every point you are reminded that this is her story and that the experience of being transgender is individual and personal. No ones experience is the same and no transition is the same. That's the most important idea I took from the book. This is one persons story, and there are millions of other trans stories to be told, all are real and personal and valid.
