Classic submitted by pixel gamer 3000 on August 13, 2017, 10:54am Fahrenheit 451 is a classic sci-fi novel which follows a fairly standard dystopian/utopian plotline. In a world where books are burned, and mechanical dogs can hunt people from their scent, one man must figure out what is truly right, as he realizes that the world is not as it seems.

Four and a Half Stars submitted by Avliss on July 24, 2018, 5:46pm A very interesting classic, with a message that is especially important to consider today.

Fahrenheit 451 submitted by lstorc on August 6, 2018, 4:54am The best book ever written bar none

Interesting submitted by fluttershy 2006 on July 20, 2020, 12:14pm When I first started this book I didn't really like it. But after a little bit, I really started to love the book. The way they developed society is just amazing. The characters are also very interesting, and the imagery used is great. Definitely recommend.

A Must Read (Because of Its Controversy) submitted by sfo_16 on June 20, 2023, 7:39pm "Any book worth banning is a book worth reading." - Isaac Asimov

This is a spectacular read that challenges the status quo and government mandates and is frequently banned in schools for that reason. Fahrenheit 451 is a timeless literary classic due to its everlasting messages. It can be somewhat difficult to understand for young readers because of its age. Apathetic violence is a major theme of this book. There's a scene of violence against animals, mention of children killing other children via car accidents, discussion of nuclear events, and a couple people get burned alive. None of the descriptions are particularly graphic but all deaths in the story contribute to the plot and themes of the book. In the age of LGBTQ+ and other books being banned in America, there is no more timely novel than this one.
