Imaginative indoor play submitted by FordAlpha on August 21, 2018, 10:15pm The young protagonists of this picture book explore a mysterious cave, encountering all sorts of dangers and wonders . . . until it's suddenly not dark anymore, and Dad is peering into the blanket fort to shush the kids during the baby's nap. These imaginative siblings can't be subdued for long, however, and soon the dark cave has become a light-filled barn with the kids galloping around on imaginary horses. (How long before Dad breaks out the cartoons?) The text is fine, though sparse, and the illustrations are also pretty good, though not distinctive. My kids enjoyed it a few times but were not sorry to return it to the library.
