Read it with a book club-great book for discussion submitted by sushai on June 30, 2019, 7:21am This definitely is a book to read with a book club because of the great amount of symbolism and the allegorical nature of the storytelling. I'm sure I missed a lot and am tempted to read it again from start to finish. On its surface, it's a story of the beginning of WWII, set in Poland, but as Anna travels with her new companion, it's about much more than that. It actually to me seemed like a fairy tale that was drawn out in length. I listened to the audio version and the narrator was really good.
