Getting a chance to finally see Peril from her own perspective was good. Overall a good book and sets up things in the next books effectively.

Great kid lit submitted by Princess Cimorene on July 20, 2022, 10:45pm I love complex and redeemable villains, so I find Peril a delightful character. I think this series does so much to make heavy themes palatable for kids and the emphasis on empathy throughout the books is really special. In this particular book I love the internal conflicts Peril faces and how much she grows.
