Great Bookclub pick submitted by carolinepbg on June 26, 2016, 6:12pm Prepare for a lively bookclub convo.

Well paced, with strong characters submitted by A2Doug2 on June 19, 2017, 9:41am We had a great time with Cynthia when she came to Literati last year. Her first novel is an engaging read with plotlines that resolve tidily, if a bit abruptly. I enjoyed it; a brisk beach read that I hope will make an interesting movie (which she's also writing).

The Nest submitted by honigmar on July 27, 2019, 4:09pm I really liked how each character was developed, and how many small story segments tied together at the end.

Good submitted by TLW1998 on July 28, 2019, 7:37pm This is an enjoyable book to read with good character development.

Betting a Movie is Coming Soon... submitted by sushai on August 5, 2019, 9:08pm I really zoomed through this book. It was fun and easy to read without being too light (not a beach read). The family was relatable and well-drawn. At times I thought the book reminded me of Franzen's The Corrections, but instead Sweeney goes a little more for humor and is a lot less dark. I actually wished it had been a little more dark. Some things felt a little too "pat" for me. Still, an excellent read.
