Old fly, new tricks submitted by FordAlpha on August 14, 2018, 9:31pm The "Fly Guy" books are well constructed, humorous stories for beginning readers. It's easy to sympathize with quirky young Buzz, the boy who keeps a fly for a pet. Here, Buzz teaches Fly Guy some unusual tricks to amuse his friends, but Fly Guy's performance at the family dinner table lands the pair in trouble. The tricks come in handy, however, to foil a bully on the street. Like most of the "Fly Guy" stories, the plot has just the right amount of tension to keep an early reader engaged but not frustrated.
