Cute submitted by KOH on August 2, 2017, 4:16pm I enjoy these kids books that address the reader, and this is a fun one. Even better though is "We Are In A Book" by Mo Willems, if you like this concept.

a "Meh" sequel submitted by FordAlpha on August 29, 2021, 3:47pm This sequel to Lehrhaupt's "Do Not Open This Book" doesn't quite live up to the absurd appeal of its predecessor, and at times it feels too dependent on that earlier work for the reader to understand what's going on and why. It also has a moment or two that feel ripped off from "The Monster at the End of This Book", and the ending isn't very satisfying. On the plus side, the toucan's beaks look better than they did in "Do Not Open This Book".
