How *could* a person survive drifting in a little boat for 438 days? This book tells you. submitted by valeriemates on June 19, 2020, 11:05pm The first few chapters of this book were slow going. But then the main character ended up unexpectedly stuck in a little boat for 438 days, while the boat slowly drifted across an entire ocean. I was fiercely curious about how anybody could survive that, so I was fascinated to read about how he did it. The book does a lovely job of explaining how he handled the challenges of getting food and water, having no exercise or company, through wild storms and beating sun. It also talks about what his life has been like in the years after surviving that ordeal.

Anyway, if you have ever wondered how a person could survive for 438 days drifting at sea, this book will tell you!
