Outside Covent Garden on a rainy evening in 1912, cockney flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, meets linguistic expert Henry Higgins. The next morning, face and hands freshly scrubbed, Eliza presents herself on Higgins' doorstep, ready and willing to be turned into a lady.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Has not stood the test of time submitted by pk on June 18, 2023, 11:30am While the music is familiar and fun, and the sets/costumes sometimes are amazing, this film just doesn't stand the test of time. The themes of women being a "lesser than" human is pretty much everywhere in this film. While it may have seemed OK, even charming, in 1964, it just doesn't sit right in 2023. And at nearly 3 hours, it's a lot to get through. Loved it as a child. Can sing pretty much every song. But I no longer find this film interesting.
