COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Now 80s submitted by leenajong on July 29, 2016, 6:39am Nice selection of 80s songs.

NTWIC New Wave 80s - CD submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on August 21, 2016, 12:42pm This album title is something of a misnomer, because these are not all new wave artists/songs, but it is a good mix. "Rebel Yell" I'd call rock, not new wave, and some others are more pure pop. But there is plenty of synth and other new wave sound from such artists as The Cure, The Eurythmics, and Tears For Fears.

Now That's What I Call new Wave 80s submitted by Varshini on July 13, 2019, 10:56pm Don't like 80's music....

I Love the 80s submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2020, 1:02pm It might be a bit of a stretch to call each and every one of these songs “New Wave”, but this compilation does offer a nice dose of nostalgia in the shape of quintessentially 80s tunes. With plenty of synthesizers, a combo of rock and pop sensibilities, and that particular production quality on the lead vocals, the style is immediately recognizable across each track. The selection is nicely balanced between hits that are still going strong on classic rock (!!!) radio and lesser known songs that nonetheless fit right in. Altogether, despite the slight misnomer, you get what you expect on this one, as ever with the Now series.
