Holds up over time submitted by sushai on August 21, 2018, 9:02pm I still like watching these episodes, many years now since the series has been off the air. You never know which famous person's alter ego (or maybe just ego) will show up in Dr. Katz's office. I always had the feeling much of the show was off-script, which gave it a naturally funny feel.

Seeing the series for the first time, several years past its cultural niche submitted by ccrose on July 19, 2019, 4:35pm I'm a TV illiterate, a mess at TV trivia so I don't know the 1990's context in which this series was written and aired. I think the jist of the plot was that people make life changes verrry slooowly. The animation style was the best element for me, that all the characters, including Dr. Katz, sort of vibrated constantly, an indicator of constant anxiety. The repetition of places the doctor hung out, his home which wasn't very homey, the people that he listened to for advice all added up to a stalled life. I watched season 1-3. That was enough for me. Just hope for the good doctor's sake that he hits a wave and finds new meaning.
