COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Good if a little OTT submitted by gardenfaerie on August 6, 2017, 7:42am Aside from the fact that this is overacted, this is a decent story to watch. In 1935, movies were still relatively new and people were still performing like stage actors with over exaggerated gestures, precise and somewhat loud delivery of lines, and overly dramatic "bam! boom! pow!" action scenes. It's also amusing to me how ny period pieces always look like the time they were made in as much as the time they are set in (Little House looking SO 70s for example), and this is no exception. So it's interesting to watch from a history perspective if nothing else. The story itself is interesting and well-paced.
unwatchable despite the great book its based on and Claude Raines. submitted by Tassos on January 15, 2020, 10:11am I could not watch even one minute of this terrible old fuzzy movie.
