Following an independent woman during a time when men still ruled much of the world, it's interesting to see her interactions with different suitors offering very different advantages to a woman who is convinced she doesn't need anyone. With all good romances, she finds out that love is all she needs - and the ending...well, let's just say it's very satisfying. :)
