Separated from the smelly feet and scratchy wool of a pirate's ship by a great storm, a ship's bed floats in the water, making friends with gulls and dolphins and basking in the sun before realizing that something is missing.

What Stories Do Furniture Have to Tell submitted by KPNF on June 21, 2018, 11:33am This story is told from the perspective of a piece of furniture who goes from being owned by a pirate, to floating in the sea to being owned by an imaginative little boy. My son was fascinated by the idea that his bed could have a story to tell - perhaps it was previously a pirate’s bed too! Nice story that lends itself to imaginative discussion.
