"Hannah Martin's life isn't shaping up into much of anything. Since graduating college eight years ago, she has lived in six different cities and held countless meaningless jobs ... She takes up residence in her best friend Gabby's guest room. Along with Gabby and Gabby's husband Mark, [she goes] out to a bar where they meet up with some of [their] old friends, including Hannah's high school boyfriend, Ethan. Shortly after midnight, Gabby asks Hannah if she's ready to go. But then Ethan offers to give her a ride later if she wants to stay. Hannah hesitates. What happens if she leaves with Gabby? What happens if she leaves with Ethan? [This book] is told in two concurrent storylines following the consequences of each choice"-- Provided by publisher.

Enjoyable submitted by rsbrown on July 26, 2015, 1:02pm A good, quick read (less than 24 hours). Great vacation reading. Both story lines work well and are believable - in a chick lit world.

Really good... submitted by Kikumatsu97 on July 27, 2015, 5:38pm Taylor Jenkins Reid is a unique author with magical qualities that totally take you away. Her best book yet!

"If there are an infinite number of universes, I don't know how I got so lucky to end up in this one. Maybe there are other lives out there, but I can't imagine being as happy in any of them as I am right now, today. I have to think that while I may exist in other universes, none is as good as this."

Disappointing submitted by carr1_e on August 18, 2015, 4:43pm This was like reading the movie "Sliding Doors." And the movie was much better.

Interesting take on time and decisions we make submitted by Bethybeth07 on June 25, 2022, 8:52pm This book follows the path of the main character on two separate paths her life could have taken. Throughout the book the reader gets to see how the paths diverge and how some still overlap

Like Sliding Doors, but not as good submitted by A2AE on July 31, 2022, 9:56am I've read all of Reid's books, and this isn't my favorite. I was also reminded of Sliding Doors, but I didn't care for a major turn in one of the storylines related to a pregnancy; it really irritated me and spoiled the book since so much of the plot was related to that choice. While a quick read, I'd go for her other better known books before this.

Agree with above submitted by leah karr on August 19, 2022, 7:04pm Like sliding doors....but not as good! Perfectly said

Similar to Going Bicoastal submitted by asangtani on July 30, 2023, 11:39am What if you made another decision? In this book, Hannah lives two storylines, one in which she stays out with Ethan and another in which she goes home with Gabby. It's written well, like all of TJR books and while I agree it's not my favorite book of hers, I still enjoyed it.

OK read submitted by pratibhamahesh on August 25, 2023, 11:01am The characters have been laid out well. I enjoyed the concept of this book.
