Magic in English Countryside submitted by sdunav on July 8, 2016, 11:42am #5 in the awesome Peter Grant series, this did not disappoint. In this volume Peter leaves London for the sticks and a small town where two 11 y.o. girls are missing. His specialty (magic) may or may not be involved.

There's bees, honey, river goddesses, Roman roads, hill forts, invisible (pehaps imaginary) meat-eating unicorns, pubs with haute cuisine, Council houses - it's great if you like English cozies, paranormals with humor, or just mysteries.

Peter ventures out of London and very out of his comfort zone. submitted by BurntSaori on June 15, 2019, 3:13pm This book dragged a bit for me, but eventually I got into it. I wanted more development with Leslie, but Bev and Grant's development was entertaining.

Rivers of London submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 14, 2019, 4:36pm This is the fifth novel in Ben Aaronovitch's "Rivers of London" series. Read the first four before you read this one or you will not understand what is happening as this book often refers back to events and characters from the previous novels.
In this novel, our protagonist, police officer Peter Grant, leaves London for the countryside to investigate the disappearance of two girls. Because this is a fantasy/mystery novel the disappearance turns out to have a supernatural twist. The plot itself is captivating and leaves the read eager to pick up the sequel, "The Hanging Tree."
Warning and spoiler alert: this book includes a unicorn who eats meat. Yuck!
