Lara Jean has never openly admitted her crushes. Instead, she wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

Decent YA novel submitted by Jinxyluis on August 4, 2018, 6:23pm Lara Jean is startlingly immature but I still mostly enjoyed reading her story here. The sister dynamic and importance placed on those relationships was something I really appreciated, and the love triangle was not one of the worst.

Great Book submitted by timdufresne on August 31, 2018, 10:56am Wonderful story and such a fun voice. Lara Jean's sisters were so much fun to read about.

Good book submitted by shanny1974 on June 14, 2019, 1:16pm I enjoyed reading this book as the characters were flawed and real. The family dynamic is very important in this story.

5 out of 5 stars ! submitted by priscilladu on June 22, 2019, 5:34pm I very thoroughly enjoyed reading this story because it was very relatable. The family and sister dynamic are especially important in the story and reading about the love triangle was very interesting.

Cute submitted by c_zhang on June 27, 2019, 11:41pm I really like all the characters' dynamics and relationships with each other. The story is cute and the characters were compelling. It was written in a very light and fun way.

Beautiful book submitted by avakunnath on July 2, 2019, 1:46pm Fantasy meets reality. Characters were lovable and relatable and it was fun to read. I’m glad there are two more books in the series to read after this one!

an awesome book submitted by RowPio on July 12, 2019, 7:05pm I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!<3 I read this in one day and immediately went to go get the second. Lara Jean and Peter are so adorable!

Another YA book about falling in love submitted by gxtan on July 20, 2019, 5:40pm But I liked this one. I appreciated that the relationships within Lara Jean's family, particularly with her sisters, were developed, instead of just focusing on Lara Jean/the boys. The characters all have their flaws and make mistakes and miscommunicate, but that's how real life works. I also liked that the main character is biracial/Asian American, but the book isn't all about making a statement about being biracial/Asian American.

To all the Boys I've Loved Before submitted by Varshini on July 28, 2019, 10:57pm I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I enjoyed this book, but I did. The characters are well-built and the story is addictive.

Such a GREAT book submitted by taherne on May 12, 2020, 4:17pm The story is sooo addictive, you just can't stop reading it. I love Lara Jean's personality and how the whole story is just so put together. You need to read this book

Good YA submitted by eschrine on July 25, 2020, 10:55am This book was a classic YA, love triangle type of novel; however, I loved those. I really enjoyed the family dynamic, specifically, as it was a good contrast to the main love triangle. LJ is a little immature to start but that's a given for her age and situation. It wasn't a main point of the plot, but I also liked how she was bi-racial, specifically Asian. It goes to show it can be a part of a character's identity without it being the #1 plot device.

Great Book submitted by Tess332 on June 20, 2023, 1:58pm This book is one of the best YA novels out there. It is fun, touches on important topics, and doesn't take itself too seriously. The idea of a bunch of letters being sent out is kind of silly but it does nothing to detract from the characters and storylines it pushes forward.

Okay book submitted by bluepapaya on July 29, 2023, 7:15pm This is one of the rare cases where I like the TV show version more
