Lazy Bear Crazy Bear submitted by SBNB on June 15, 2018, 2:14pm This is a nice book for introducing the long vowels. Each sound has a section. It's pretty easy too, good for beginning readers.

Harder than the Average Easy Reader submitted by Bethybeth07 on June 23, 2019, 7:14pm This book is great in breaking down the different types of vowel sounds, which is helpful, but there are also subtexts that are geared toward the parents. In a perfect world this is very helpful, but when you have an incredibly stubborn new reader, we found this book to be frustrating, as he wanted to read ALL the text, not just the text geared toward the new reader. In theory this book is amazing, but for the strong-willed, it can be daunting.
