O Brother, this is a pretty good movie. submitted by lisa on June 27, 2019, 5:33pm It's not my favorite Preston Sturges, but it's pretty good.

A pairing with O Brother, Where Art Thou submitted by brooksza on July 25, 2022, 4:08pm Great early movie about movies. And a comedy about class and poverty.

So much happens in this odyssey and I really like the character arc by the last scene. The movie probably could have been more satirical about the rich but there's some ideas to chew on.

There's a lot of joy in the church movie screening scene. It's really unfortunate that there's a character credited as "Colored Chef" in this though. I'm not sure if that character was supposed to be a commentary or just a racist trope.

seen it before. Skipped the scenes now. submitted by Tassos on March 8, 2023, 5:28pm not very memorable.
