Ancient, silly 1979 movie with preposterous claims... 'good' thugs chased by 'evil" thugs.. submitted by Tassos on November 27, 2022, 6:31pm I don't know how I missed this idiotic movie all these decades. It is less of an action flick and more of a cartoon comedy, in short it is LAUGHABLE and REALLY, REALLY BAD. Other films of that era referring to those scumbags gangs of New York and other big cities were the (IN CONTRAST) HUGELY Successful "DEATH WISH" ,movies. THOSE made a sense, were eminently watchable over and over again, and TV shows them all the time, even 40 years later.

What bugs me the most in this silly movie is the moron who directed it makes an appearance and claims, with a straight face, that this SILLY FARCE has ANYTHING TO DO with the GLORIOUS exploits of the "TEN THOUSAND" as narrated by XENOPHON, a must-read CLASSIC TEXT. They are mentioned at the beginning of this stupid movie, AND they have NOTHING TO DO with the SEWER that follows.

In short: I wasted my time watching a movie MADE BY EFFING MORONS, AIMED AT EFFING MORONS. In short, WRONG ADDRESS. Our Public library does not need to waste its money (from my local taxes!) buying CRAP LIKE THIS.
