However, Roebuck “Pops” Staples greatest musical gift to the world was as band leader, songwriter, singer and guitarist for the Staples Singers. In folk, gospel and R&B music, he is an important person. These recordings were made and given to his daughter Mavis just prior to his passing. They are worth listening to .
