A worthy read submitted by Zekicmom on July 14, 2015, 10:55am Perhaps I didn't pay enough attention in my high school history classes, but at first I found it hard to get into the book and keep track of all the key people being written about. But I'm glad I stuck it out. Cokie Roberts has written a book that offers an interesting and unusual perspective on the years surrounding and including the civil war.
