Strange but true submitted by sara on July 12, 2015, 8:40am While the book is a work of fiction, the events it's based on are true. In Elizabeth, NJ in the 1950's, three planes crashed killing many on the ground as well as most of the people aboard. Finally Newark Airport was closed, and reopened after the flight paths were diverted from Elizabeth.
A bit of a disappointment submitted by rsbrown on July 26, 2015, 1:05pm I really wanted to like this book and enjoyed the first half. I'm not sure what Judy was trying to accomplish with the last 100 pages. As soon as I finished it, I started reading another book so I could stop thinking about it. I'd still recommend it as it is well written but think it could have been better.
so-so submitted by jhaberich on June 21, 2018, 10:59am I thought the book was fine but, despite the drama of plane crashes, didn't find it particularly compelling. The writing was enjoyable but there were too many characters to keep straight and a few too many plot points were thrown in that didn't seem to add much to the story. Nothing objectionable about the book but I also wouldn't find myself recommending it to someone.
I wanted to like it submitted by Pooh3238 on June 26, 2018, 10:42am I loved Judy Blume growing up and really wanted to like this book, but it wasn't my favorite. So many characters, it was hard to keep straight who was who.
So good submitted by Aimless on July 24, 2019, 3:28pm Although this book is based on Judy Blume view, it is a fascinating
