Personifying the grit and heart of the kid gangs sprouting up in city slums, these little wise guys quickly stole the nation's heart. Ably anchored by the central pair of Huntz Hall and Leo Gorcey, the kids moved from 'preachment' and crime pictures to straight up comedy as The Bowery Boys - and the rest is history as the boys capered through scores of pictures for over two decades!" -- Container.
Live wires: Slip loses several jobs because of his temper, as his supportive sister grows increasingly exasperated at his inability to keep a position.
In fast company: When a taxi driver friend is unable to work because of an "accident" caused by the head of a powerful rival cab company, Slip takes over the job to keep his friend afloat and comes under similar attack.
Bowery bombshell: Sach is suspected of robbing a bank, and the gang must clear his name by tracking down the real robbers.
News hounds: Slip and the Boys attempt to expose corruption in boxing.
Fighting fools: Slip and the boys try to raise money for a woman whose son was killed in the boxing ring by getting her other son back into the boxing game.
Hold that baby!: Featuring two scheming and crazy old ladies, a trip to the sanitarium, and the boys taking care of both their own laundromat and a missing baby.
Master minds: Sach plus a toothache results in Sach's ability to predict the future. A mad scientist decides that he needs Sach's brain for his monster Atlas.
Blonde dynamite: Louie goes on vacation to Coney Island and in his absence, the boys turn his Sweet Shop into their own escort service, Slip's latest get-rich-quick scheme. Meanwhile, Gabe, now working at a bank, is being blackmailed by some shady characters into giving them the combination to the vault.
Lucky losers: The Bowery Boys invade the casino business to investigate the suicide of their stock broker friend.
Blues busters: After Sach has his tonsils out, he can sing like Bing Crosby. The Boys make a supper club out of Louie's Sweet Shop, and a rival nightclub owner attempts to win back the crowds that have now deserted his establishment.
Crazy over horses: The Boys switch race horses in an attempt to win a race in order to pay off a debt and spoil the plans for the bad guys.
No holds barred: Sach has a calcium deposit which makes his head a semi-lethal weapon. Slip decides to take advantage of the situation and turns Sach into a wrestler.
