Dystopian Drama submitted by sdunav on July 6, 2018, 9:02am There isn't actually much midwifery in this dark novel, but it's still an interesting examination of what happens when 98% of the men and 99.9% of the women in the U.S. die of a disease that also makes most childbirth result in stillborn babies. There's the looting and loss of social structure that you would expect, but also some interesting experiments in gender inequality and relations and religion.

Post Apocalyptic Wasteland submitted by semartin on August 25, 2018, 11:05pm If you love dystopian futures, but felt like you've been missing something, this is it. It's refreshing to have a female voice actually written by a woman. The realistic descriptions of women's bodies alone makes it worth it (buxom heroines running in heels need not apply).

Only ok submitted by Staffsteph on August 29, 2018, 8:48pm I really wanted to like this book, and parts of it were amazing. Our main character is a wonderful strong female lead. She holds herself together through great adversity. It just felt like there was something missing in the telling. I also felt like the author came up with the title and then tried too hard to stick to it. The main character doesn't give her name even when she really should/there's no reason not to.
