Hard but Interesting Read submitted by monkk on June 12, 2015, 3:26pm It is difficult to read what these girls endured for so long, but it is amazing to hear how they managed to survive and eventually escape. Thanks to help the girls received, the book is very well written and gives quite a bit of background on Ariel Castro and his family.
Heart Wrenching and Scary submitted by Beth Manuel on July 8, 2016, 1:16pm It's hard to believe there is so much evil in the world, but this story, as well as similar situations, prove it's true. Ariel Castro was a horrible, evil man and how he was able to get away with what he did is shocking. The resilience these girls-turned- women had in order to endure their horrific lives gave me pause.
