'Lest we forget... submitted by GJBarnett2 on June 18, 2015, 3:58pm An inspiring but infuriating true story of an American POW of the Japanese. Louis Zamperini's treatment by the Japanese was typical of the inhuman and inhumane way the Japanese treated their prisoners. Ironically, although Zamperini found it in his heart to return to Japan and meet ... and forgive... many of his captors, his primary real-life antagonist, Watanabe "the Bird," although convicted as a major war criminal and having lived in hiding until the general amnesty of war criminals, refused to meet him.

inspirational submitted by 23lisq on August 5, 2015, 8:57pm This movie was so moving. Such a turn of events in one's life is worthy of the dramatization. Great acting.

Emotional submitted by markwells on June 26, 2016, 12:28pm The actor who portrays the villainous leader of the Japanese POW camp must be a good actor. You really start to hate the character and wish the movie would take a different turn. Overall this was a good, inspirational film. Grade: A-.

Moving Film submitted by Meginator on August 6, 2017, 10:48am Unbroken is an excellent cinematic depiction of a true story, with its only real problem being some minor pacing issues that arise from its covering such a long period of time. The story is unbelievable and inspiring and the acting is phenomenal; the result is a wonderful film.
