COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Mixed submitted by LunaV on June 17, 2015, 7:11am A good mix or magic and adventure

Mixed feeling submitted by leenajong on July 7, 2015, 11:50am I have a mixed feeling about this. It's not as funny and mixed up a lot of fairy tales.

Into the Woods submitted by SBNB on June 18, 2016, 7:19pm I was surprised that it was a musical. But I thought it was good overall.

Not Good submitted by DL on June 22, 2016, 7:12pm Not one of Disney's best, the movie drags on and not that entertaining.

Odd story submitted by kressara on June 28, 2016, 8:57pm The music and voices were beautiful. The staging and choreography was intricate and well done. There were some places that I laughed out loud, but the story was odd and I finished it thinking ????? I wouldn't watch it again, though I think that I would be interested in listening to the sound track.

Decent submitted by kelleyc on July 9, 2016, 9:44am Pretty good, but the stage version is best.

Interesting submitted by AprilCDB on July 26, 2016, 2:04pm Interesting movie that takes several well known stories and intertwines them. Not a great movie but was interesting to watch.

I Agree submitted by hollieesper121573 on August 29, 2016, 9:41pm I have mixed feelings about it to the concept was good but not well written

interesting submitted by rjsjwilliams on June 19, 2017, 10:40am the first time I saw this was live and it confused the heck out of me. Since then, I watched it on video a couple of times and found it quite delightful and very intricate. The music is great, at times it was gory, but still very good.

OK submitted by yenkong on July 18, 2017, 4:30pm I guess it's ok. It's a bit strange but not too bad.

Intriguing Adaptation submitted by Meginator on August 4, 2017, 10:19pm Into the Woods is an intriguing adaptation of the stage show that uses more extensive and immersive sets and other production elements mostly to its advantage. Some of the singing is not exactly on par with Broadway, sure, but for the most part the film captures the spirit of its source material. This is a satisfying example of the booming alternate fairy tale genre.

Into the Woods submitted by cbrewster on August 26, 2017, 8:09pm Loved the costumes and music! I did not realize how many people die in this play and so I found that part a bit sad.

Great musical! submitted by Xris on June 25, 2018, 11:58pm Wonderful story, played out by excellent actors, from a myriad of different fables.

Love the Musical submitted by Aveliney on July 7, 2018, 2:22pm The musical is one of my favorites, but the movie only gets 4 stars. They simplified and slowed down some of the more complicated sondheim-isms. I expected it to be more true to the stage show. I wish they would have included the narrator!

Exceptional submitted by lstorc on August 30, 2018, 10:24am Exceptional vocals , costumes, set, and casting! Strong recommendation!

wacky fun submitted by yufamily on August 25, 2019, 9:19pm Nice cinematography

Into the Woods 2014 submitted by Varshini on August 31, 2019, 7:19pm Into The Woods isn't that great of a movie to be honest. Maybe my expectations were too high? I'm not sure. 3/5 stars.

two hours felt like 5 hours submitted by gwdaver on June 19, 2021, 10:42pm There was a star studded cast, that helped quite a bit - but the music and lyrics where dull and repetitive. It was family appropriate, but the morals were not wonderful and no real lovable characters - they were all flawed.

Good submitted by Abbie D. on July 10, 2022, 5:41pm Good rendition of the musical with a great cast
