COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Too Slow submitted by monkk on June 12, 2015, 3:14pm I think I made it about a half hour into this movie, and since nothing had happened yet, I turned it off. I just couldn't get into it.

Not worth the time submitted by bautell on June 15, 2015, 8:18pm It's a novel idea to film the same actors over subsequent years, but it's dull and shallow.

Boyhood submitted by SBNB on June 19, 2015, 7:53pm I liked it. Yes, it's slow. There's no action, nothing exciting. And yet it's a good story and well-told.

Good, submitted by leenajong on July 7, 2015, 6:39pm I like this movie. It's different.

Movie of the year submitted by pmysore on August 24, 2015, 10:39am Great movie about the life of a boy from his childhood to adolosence. what made it really interesting was the that the same actor was used for the entire move spanning a dozen years or more.

Cool submitted by yenkong on August 4, 2017, 2:11pm Very cool!

Disappointing, considering. submitted by lisa on August 16, 2018, 12:51pm All those years of (on-again-off-again) work that went into it.

Pathetic submitted by lstorc on August 26, 2018, 2:47pm Pathetic if one doesn't share an entitled male perspective

Boyhood submitted by jibkidder on July 26, 2022, 1:54pm I would imagine that this film reads very differently for parents vs non parents. Of course, everyone has a childhood, but the experience of a child is often a rush to escape the limitations and confusion of childhood, while the experience of even the most regretful parent is, on some level, to slow down time, to stretch out the moments before the child escapes out into the wild. A parent has been both: small and foggy and confused and pushing forth; an observer and often ineffectual guiding hand. This film alters an experience of time, which is almost all a work of art can do.
