Great series submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on July 2, 2015, 2:28pm What can I say? Sanderson is, as always, a brilliant writer who creates worlds and characters that draw you in and keep you there. My 11 year old son polished off the book within days of me handing it over to him.

For much of the book, I felt that it was merely "great" instead of Sanderson's often "brilliant," and finally recognized that I felt this way because in the first Reckoners book, I was so entranced by the newness of this world that this book fell just that infinitesimal bit short because the fascination wasn't present for me. But then I got to the end of the book and realized how much Sanderson is setting up for the future (while still completely wrapping up this current story!), and he's got me, hook, line, and sinker again.

Steelheart set us up. Firefight is a great continuation, but also a bit of a transition, and a maturation of the main character. I cannot WAIT for what comes next!

Great book submitted by pepemama on June 15, 2018, 3:08pm It really hooks you in from the first chapter.
