Read by Martin Short himself! submitted by doctorfang on June 14, 2015, 6:13pm Martin Short's autobiography is a fascinating journey back to the roots of so many comic geniuses, before they were famous. To give you a small taste: Short dated Gilda Radner before either of them was famous. Short counts Paul Shaffer and Eugene Levy as two of his best friends, dating back to their time as housemates in Toronto in the early 1970s. Short's experiences and stories of his circle of friends (including the Belushis, the Murrays, the Flahertys, John Candy, Dave Thomas, etc.) are entertaining and all the more-so with Short's occasional impressions of his friends punctuating the book. (His impression of Paul Shaffer is spot-on, and hilarious.) Highly recommended, especially if you are a fan of SNL, SCTV, and comedy in general.
