It's not true that we use only 10% of our brains... submitted by robbo10 on August 10, 2015, 11:41am I really wanted to like Lucy. Scarlet Johansson is one of the most interesting and attractive actresses out there. But the interesting idea, even if it IS bunk science. [it is not true that we use only 10% of our brains. Look it up. We use 100%, but we do not use 100% of our brains' potential]. Even so, the film's premise was badly handled, and the ending was cheap and unsatisfying. Disappointing. Interestingly filmed, though.

Couldbeacultclassic submitted by markwells on September 30, 2015, 8:41am Never mind the scientific mumbo-jumbo. This was a fun, fast-paced, and visually-engaging film.

One idea submitted by ssands on November 1, 2015, 4:01pm The science was so bad, and there was so much of it! A lot of the film was devoted to a professor spouting nonsense to an adoring lecture hall. But the real problem was that it was like a short story -- there was one cool idea and that was it. Most movies follow a pattern involving a character facing and overcoming a series of obstacles and growing. I guess that happened here in a very limited and literal sense, but it seemed like the main character's progress had a very linear trajectory, which was unsatisfying as a story.

Interesting submitted by Xris on June 13, 2020, 1:27am If you could unlock more of your brain's capacity...but with drugs and lots of guns and violence. Still an interesting concept and I thought she pulled it off well.
