Epic Biography submitted by danzoia on August 10, 2023, 9:27am How could a biography about a city planner, Robert Moses, be this engrossing? That's the thought I had when I first picked up this monstrosity of a book. It's huge and overwhelming when you pick it up. But yet somehow, I blew through the 1000 plus pages in about a month. The amount of detail Robert Caro uncovers to show that Moses' power was at an insane level in NYC is unbelievable. His skill at uncovering the truth is perhaps unmatched in biographies I've read. Moses shaped NYC as it is today, and unfortunately for the worst in a lot of ways. Must read book.
