Great Series submitted by slugwhisperer on July 17, 2019, 5:21pm Loved it from the first book (this one).

Grabs you submitted by kathscot on July 8, 2020, 4:46pm How can you not root for an abandoned little boy? A little slow paced, but good fighting scenes, and an interesting world.

A compelling protagonist submitted by severian on June 29, 2021, 8:56pm The series plays with some old fantasy tropes, some better than others, but also offers something different than most other epic fantasies from the era. Give it a shot!

Don’t sleep on this. submitted by tisaallen on June 21, 2022, 9:18pm Fitz has a rough childhood. He doesn’t know either of his parents, people call him The Bastard as though that is his real name, and he possesses a despised type of magic called the Wit that allows humans to communicate through emotions with most animals, and forge a psychic link with one bond-animal in particular.

Abandoned to be raised by the royal stablemaster, treated as though it’s his fault that his father abdicated the throne, and tormented by adults with a grudge against his father, Fitz accepts an offer from his grandfather the king to become apprentice to the royal assassin when he is still just a child.

Be prepared to cry, especially if you have a pet.

Such a great fantasy epic submitted by alharman1022 on July 14, 2023, 8:24am Great storytelling. You'll get sucked in and have to read them all
