4.5 stars submitted by AbigailBrewer on October 26, 2014, 1:02pm I have read and loved all of the Percy Jackson books by Rick Riordan. But this one was a bit of a disappointment. I thought it went too fast and that fact that Gaea was defeated in like 3 pages annoys me. However, it was still a good book.

my review submitted by ay1alomar1 on November 11, 2014, 11:34am I have always been fascinated by the percy Jackson series, but this one confused me, and honestly I didn't think was the best of the books. It kind of made me lose interest in the series...

Great finish! submitted by vadnala on June 13, 2015, 7:33am I thought it was a great finish to the series, however I too thought the fight against the Giants went a little too fast. The Olympians didn't thank or award the heroes this time either, unlike at the end of the Last Olympian. Looking forward to Magus Chase and the Gods of Asgard and future Kane/Percy crossover stories!s

Great Book!! submitted by i'm a blobfish on June 13, 2015, 11:55am This book is so good!

Best book in the whole series!!! submitted by srahman on June 13, 2015, 5:02pm I read all the books in both series and I think this one was by far the most awesome book in that series. I especially loved the ending of the book. it was great!!

great submitted by peterflorence on June 14, 2015, 7:17am This book is a great finish to and amazing series.

Awesome! submitted by elliot4321 on July 4, 2015, 11:08am Great ending to a great series!

FAVORITE BOOK IN THE WHOLE SERIES submitted by readingqueen76 on July 15, 2016, 2:24pm THIS BY FAR WAS MY FAVORITE BOOK! IT WENT TO FAST FOR ME THOUGH. =( I WISH THEY GAVE A LITTLE MORE DETAIL ON ANNABETH & PERCY'S LOVE LIFE. OVER ALL IT WAS A FABULOUS BOOK

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! submitted by karthik on July 13, 2017, 1:35pm I recommend this book! It just keeps you reading!

Adveture Ending (Loved it!) submitted by Jessica Primus on August 18, 2017, 4:01pm I enjoyed this ending and thought it was a satisfying ending of the series. I recommend this book for ages 8-11. The Blood of Olympus is a fascinating book about adventure. Also it contains a little bit of romance. Rick Riordan WILL make you laugh. Just when you are about to get scared, something extremely funny happens. What happens is.... not going to tell you. But, if you read the book you'll know. Rick Riordan has managed to pull this amazing series to a close. Once you're done with this series, if you like it, I recommend The Kane Kronicals, if you have not already read it, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
So finish the series. Let's see what Piper, Jason, Leo, Annabeth, Percy, Hazel, Frank, Nico, and Reyna must do next.

Am@zinG submitted by Zaneeba on July 1, 2018, 11:02pm i like the book

Another great finish to a series! submitted by Xris on August 27, 2018, 11:31pm The kids from the prophecy are still trying to set things right and not let Gaea wake up. I love the stuff the Leo comes up with, being a son of Hephaestus! They try to stop a war between the two camps. I love that there are more books to read about this universe!! I like that they bring some Roman mythology in to go with the Greek mythology.

Great Book submitted by yingfeng on August 30, 2018, 9:21pm Great ending to a great series

Great Book submitted by c_zhang on June 21, 2019, 1:37am I really like how satisfying this ending was.

Best book in the series submitted by rawan on June 22, 2019, 1:05pm Probably the best book in the heroes of Olympus series.

Good book submitted by jasonc1177 on July 31, 2019, 7:57pm this book is great. Very interesting @@

Not the best in the series, but still excellent submitted by purplekitty on June 14, 2020, 1:29am The only things I didn't like about this book was the ending. The final battle in this book is bizarrely brief (though still interesting and engaging), and the final chapters also attempt to wrap up the characters' arcs, but seem a bit too keen to set up a sequel series; they're not entirely unsatisfying, but there are still things which are clearly being set up for the future, and therefore wind up being a bit odd. The other books in the series did also do this, but I would have liked for the series finale to have a more conclusive ending (though the ending we do get is by no means awful).

However, despite that, it is still excellent. As usual, the book is generally at least decently fast-paced (though not as consistently as other books in this series), and the multi-character narration style continues to be pulled off well. Percy and Annabeth don't play as much of a major role in this book as they have in others, but this means that we get characters narrated by somewhat more minor characters, such as Reyna and Nico, which is really nice. Nico, in particular, has an excellent arc. The humor is also still ever-present, and, overall, the book is really just a very enjoyable read. It's not my favorite book in the series, but I still highly recommend it.

THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER! !,!!! !! submitted by catmhorning on July 14, 2020, 7:10am Best book ever written by the author

Great :D submitted by lyan.current on June 21, 2021, 7:03pm This book was great, a riveting closing to the arc of The Heroes of Olympus series. If you didn't feel satisfied with the way it ended, don't worry, because Uncle Rick has more stories in this universe. He's also very inclusive with all religions, sexualities, races, etc and it's really great to see that kind of representation in a popular YA series :)

Riordan at his best! submitted by nirmala on July 27, 2021, 9:40pm Rich characters

Good Finish submitted by KatieD on August 6, 2021, 3:47pm I thought that the final battle wrapped up a little too quickly for the big build to it, but other than that, I really enjoyed the book and thought Riordan did a good job finishing up his Heroes of Olympus story. Looking forward to other books from this author!

Hey submitted by Archit12 on August 16, 2021, 1:12pm The Greek and Roman demigods must simultaneously prevent the earth mother, Gaea, from waking and stop war from breaking out at Camp Half-Blood

I LOVE THIS SERIES WITH MY ENTIRE HEART, BUT I LOVE THIS BOOK WITH MY ENTIRE LIFE submitted by MarinaKaori2904. on June 12, 2022, 7:15am This book is and will always be my favorite because LEO VALDEZ is definitely my bias and I'm so happy Rick Riordan didn't kill him like he did with so many other good characters, and I love how the story ended with a cliffhanger "is Leo dead or not??????"

Great Book submitted by kpkozloff on June 14, 2022, 12:45pm It’s a great finale of the series and has you on the edge of your seat.

AMAZING WRAP-UP TO A FANTASTIC SERIES submitted by cheon.eunjae on June 26, 2022, 9:43am This wrapped-up the series very nicely. I enjoyed this series very much and I recommend it to anyone who like myths, fantasy or just read Percy Jackson.

It's the last book... Does it really need a cliff hanger? submitted by sumisood on July 24, 2023, 11:13pm At the end of the book, two things are happening in two different places, and its a great way to end the series.

A Satisfying Ending Despite Structural Series Flaws submitted by am_nich21 on August 7, 2023, 10:53am This book definitely felt lower stakes than the last one, very "ok time to wrap this series up". I really enjoyed Reyna's chapters. I still think that Rick struggled to write relatable, non-cardboard feeling female characters at times, with Piper still not shining through the way she did in book 1. I more or less liked this book, but overall heroes of Olympus tries to do too much, and many of its flaws, both in voice and plot, are attributable to that.
