The beginning and stuff -- The golden age of cannibalism -- The Olympians bash some heads -- Hestia chooses bachelor number zero -- Demeter turns into Grainzilla -- Persephone marries her stalker -- Hera gets a little cuckoo -- Hades does home improvement -- Poseidon gets salty -- Zeus kills everyone -- Athena adopts a handkerchief -- You gotta love Aphrodite -- Ares, the manly man's manly man -- Hephaestus makes me a golden llama (not really, but he totally should) -- Apollo sings and dances and shoots people -- Artemis unleashes the death pig -- Hermes goes to juvie -- Dionysus conquers the world with a refreshing beverage.
"Percy Jackson, a modern-day demigod, tells the origin stories of the gods of Olympus and provides an insider's point of view - with plenty of attitude - in this illustrated collection"-- Provided by publisher.
"A publisher in New York asked me to write down what I know about the Greek gods, and I was like, Can we do this anonymously? Because I don't need the Olympians mad at me again. But if it helps you to know your Greek gods, and survive an encounter with them if they ever show up in your face, then I guess writing all this down will be my good deed for the week. So begins Percy Jackson's Greek Gods, in which the son of Poseidon adds his own magic--and sarcastic asides--to the classics. He explains how the world was created, then gives readers his personal take on a who's who of ancients, from Apollo to Zeus. Percy does not hold back. "If you like horror shows, blood baths, lying, stealing, backstabbing, and cannibalism, then read on, because it definitely was a Golden Age for all that." Dramatic full-color illustrations throughout by Caldecott Honoree John Rocco make this volume--a must for home, library, and classroom shelves--as stunning as it is entertaining"-- Provided by publisher.

12 gods of power submitted by Alex Hannah on July 14, 2016, 5:52pm From Zeus and Hades to Hestia and Artemis the 12 gods of power rule the world in their thrones of honor.

Awesome submitted by Claireywang on August 29, 2018, 8:09pm Riordan does it once again. Using Percy Jackson's point of view, he tells us all about the gods in a funny, interesting way a teen like Percy would.

A fit for the gods! submitted by Sinister_CottonCandy on July 13, 2019, 8:04am Percy Jackson's Greek Gods is an amazing introduction to Greek mythology. I love how humorous it is, but still teaches you a LOT about the Greek gods. This is a great read. I TOTALLY recommend it.

Funny. For ages 9 or higher. submitted by archuancha on July 18, 2019, 3:07pm This is a funny book that helps you keep all those names you hear in the the Percy Jackson books in a funny way. There is a chapter for each Olympian and a couple explaining what the world was like before the gods. This is filled with sarcasm which is very funny. Percy Jackson narrates this book which is also a plus since he is my favourite character. There are some very detailed illustrations showing the Olympians in a cool way. Though this book is obviously for kids I do not reccomend this to children less than 9 seeing as some things from Greek mythology are sort of messed up. But still a good book.
