international adoption submitted by camelsamba on July 1, 2021, 10:51pm A story of international adoption from the perspective of a child. Jaden was adopted at age 8 and is now 12. His parents are in the process of adopting another child, this time from Kazahkstan. Jaden, who has already suffered a lot of trauma in his life, undergoes a lot of emotional turmoil through the process. The book does not shy from portraying some of the challenges surrounding international adoption; as a consequence, it was sometimes hard to figure out the target audience.
