Extremely well written & informative book. submitted by rabindar on August 9, 2015, 11:40am Bamberger has written a very informative book that is sorely needed to inform ourselves about the hydraulic fracturing methods of oil extraction which has the potential to affect large swaths of the US even in areas far removed from where the extraction is carried out due to the affect it can have on ground water sources. The introduction and first part of the book provide a good overview of the technology and the size of impact. Bamberger's writing style is easy to read and understand and the anecdotal stories provide the human context to the scientific information. A much needed book and well worth the time to read it.
