Bill and Ted spent so much time forming their rock band, that they're flunking history. A guardian angel from the future, Rufus comes to them with a time traveling phone booth to take them in to the past to learn from history's most influential people. The journey turns out to be a blast, but will they learn enough to pass their class.

But better yet, they kidnap figures from history and bring them to modern California! A fun romp through history with two lovable slackers.

Most Excellent submitted by ferielp on August 30, 2018, 11:22am A no-thinking-required fun watch, with a great concept, even if it doesn't fully adhere to time-travel laws. If you pay attention at the history report they manage to do at the end, there's a few nuggets of info to learn in a totally non-bogus way.

Much better than I expected! submitted by valeriemates on August 22, 2019, 4:01pm I missed this movie when it first came out, so I first watched it with my kids in 2018. We expected it to be a really stupid movie, so we were all pleasantly surprised to find that it was a time-travel romp through history. I learned some historic facts from it that I didn't already know. Plus it was fun to watch!

Bill & Ted submitted by jibkidder on July 26, 2022, 10:38am My 8 yo was deeply into this campy time travel movie that I, myself, watched in the theater as a child. For some reason it's great to see George Carlin in this silly role. Trigger warning if you want it: there's plenty of the innuendo and objectification that is pervasive in 1980s movies.

Funny submitted by brooksza on June 20, 2023, 1:21pm This movie is a lot funnier than I remembered. The writing is pretty sharp and it's a good time-capsule of the 80's. There's an unfortunate gay slur midway through the movie, but the rest of it holds up well. I laughed a lot and the two leads are perfect as the iconic characters.
