Does Its Job, Not Much Else submitted by Meginator on August 4, 2017, 9:51am The Despicable Me soundtrack is fine, with the Pharrell Williams tracks providing periodic high points; they are pretty good and can stand on their own as a bit of a throwback to a Motown-y soul sound. The rest of the soundtrack is fine as such, but not particularly exceptional, consisting of throwaway bits and blasé pop. The songs get their job done in the context of the movie but aren't particularly strong otherwise.
