What is drawn from real life?
submitted by camelsamba on August 28, 2022, 4:02pm
Kind of preachy about the whole McManus situation (eg chapter 40) - I wonder if some of these characters are drawn from Rimington’s experience in intelligence work, if she's trying to work out old grievances through them. And if so, is Liz the agent she was, or the agent she wanted to be?
I was fascinated by the cooking code Zara used at his mother's house. Again, it makes me wonder: did she encounter a code like this in her work?
If your skin prickles with foreshadowing at the end of chapter 45 or 46 - yeah, pay attention. there's a reason for that feeling.
