heartbreaking submitted by camelsamba on June 30, 2017, 9:32pm If you grab this book thinking it will be similar to the Maisie Dobbs series, you may be disappointed. However, although it is quite different the story is not the least bit disappointing. Winspear is again able to show the devastating effects of war on individuals. The relationships are intense and powerful, even as things are hidden.

Initially skeptical but loved it submitted by chelseavp on July 30, 2018, 10:13pm I love the Maisie Dobbs series, and yes this is very different. I found this book engaging. As the story unfolds it is more and more compelling and hard to put down.
