"Mr. Tate's class is about to learn there's more to rocks than being dirty lumps on the ground. On this field trip they're visiting the rocky ridge mountains to learn about rocks. At first the children think rocks will be boring, but they soon learn that rocks are all around us in ways we might not expect--such as glass and toothpaste"-- Provided by publisher.

Rock on! submitted by jackson.sarah.jean on February 9, 2016, 7:46pm Yep, that was an awesome pun! Follow this class into a greater understanding of rocks. See how rocks play a crucial role in our world, in a fun story plot way. Very Bill Nye-esc, make science rule! If you want your kids to learn about rocks then this book can be one of your basic rock knowledge books. If you can take or leave rocks, then you can take or leave this book.
