So much to learn from Matisse submitted by timdufresne on August 8, 2018, 11:02am I love Matisse's style so much. He blends the simple and iconic, almost cartoonish representations of some items with detailed care in other elements. Thinking about this blend and how his odd perspective plays into what is prioritized, what gets highlighted and where the eye is drawn shows Matisse truly is a master at playing with our eyes.

Appreciate the style submitted by blancharddana on July 1, 2022, 8:03am Really nice vibes in this painting. The detail of the tablecloth doesn't quite fit. The oranges here should be the star of the show, and the bold tablecloth pattern distracts. Overall, still well done.
