COMMUNITY REVIEWS

a new critical perspective we've been waiting for submitted by grubbg on June 14, 2015, 11:38am de Botton brings his accessible, pragmatic, curious style to bear on this big subject: Art! Why do we need it? How should we show it? What purpose does it serve? I loved this book. It finally affirmed the use I've been putting art and literature to my whole life yet--as a way to help myself and a way to get through difficulty. de Botton proposes we include this new rubric into the academic, museum, and gallery guides to art. I agree.
