Strange submitted by willow on June 27, 2015, 9:42am I thought this would be a cohesive cookbook. Instead, it is various individuals and couples sharing their favorite recipes with a profile and photograph. It seems kind of clunky and I am not sure it works. She also seems to favor couples composed of Asian women with Scandinavian men.

There seems to be a trend lately of having book covers with a brunette with hair pulled back, looking off in the distance. Maybe that works for a historical romance, but a cookbook?

Beautiful submitted by zoe.dvh on June 16, 2018, 2:24pm As previous reviewers have noted, the recipes in the book may not be the most feasible but I greatly appreciate the aesthetics and photography in this book. It is quite intriguing to learn of what the favorite dishes of these featured people and families from around the globe are and what connection they have to it. As mentioned above, the photography is stunning. I might also add that this book is from a quarterly magazine "Kinfolk" that the library does not own, but also focuses heavily on photography and aesthetics-which might be the cause for why this book isn't the "typical" cookbook many are looking for. Give this book a try, it's a very refreshing and modern read!
